On Sunday, 26 July a group of 36 dedicated BSGers braved the -2˚C weather to take on the 702 Walk the Talk as one of our wellness activities. Despite it being one of the coldest mornings to hit Johannesburg this winter, this group of education activists got geared up to participate in one of South Africa’s largest mass participation sporting events in support of LEAP Science and Maths Schools.
This inspiring event brought together over 50 000 people, united behind the belief that, in order to create a better future, South Africans must stand together to support causes that make a positive difference.
It was this ethos that motivated each step taken by the BSG team and we were proud and privileged to be raising awareness for this great cause.
Spirits were high throughout the walk, with each BSGer having their turn to hold up the LEAP Science and Maths banner, which drew much attentionnd BSGers were all too happy to share the LEAP story with those around them
At 11am, the banners were proudly hoisted high as the team entered the stadium. Crossing the finish line, each BSGer was grateful to have been able to be the difference in education.
Wellness at BSG
At BSG, we support and encourage employee wellness and happiness throughout the business through sponsored participation in events like this one, weekly exercise classes and well-being sessions, such as yoga and meditation, hosted at our offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
