The youngest members of the BSG family have completed a year of intensive training and development and are ready to embark on the next phase of their journey. The 2014 BSG Graduate Development Programme (GDP) culminated on Friday, 30 January 2015 with an awards and graduation ceremony. The event, which took place simultaneously in BSG’s Cape Town and Johannesburg offices, saw the 10 Consultants and 2 Developers who joined BSG in early 2014 receive commendation for having completed the 12-month training and development programme.

BSG’s GDP is one of the most robust industry induction processes currently available to Information Systems (IS) and Computer Science (CompSci) Honours graduates. It takes place during the first year of the Consultants and Developers’ tenure with BSG and involves in depth training designed to give each participant holistic career experience. The programme is strategically constructed to ensure that each Graduate is able to develop the foundational mastery, which is so essential to accelerate their careers into the future.

The programme is a mix of intensive technical development, EQ mastery and broad-based experiential learning which uniquely positions these young professional leaders to make informed choices about their future career paths. “The benefits of a programme like this are undeniable, and we see those benefits manifested in our client environments on a daily basis,” said Susan Reis, BSG’s People Effectiveness Executive. She went on to add, “We feel our young Consultants and Developers have clarity and an understanding of what is required of them that is unparalleled in the industry.”

BSG will kick off the 2015 GDP in early February with the induction of the newest members of the BSG family, 15 recent graduates who join from a range of leading South African universities.
